On Solstice 2023, Céline Pelcé and ethobotanist Thomas Ferrand,
orchestrated a gustatory walk through the Vercors landscape, following a narrative linking the cosmic, astral and microscopic.
         
Based exclusively on local wild
plants, the experience unfolded in a succession of landscape tableaux presenting the objects and dishes, in visua analogy with the host landscape. Stones on scree, mushrooms in the forest, fir buds in the undergrowth...
 
In collaboration with ceramist Etienne Mauroy, the containers’ dimension changed, ranging from large and elusive, to the hollow of the
hand. Their material channeled the place: clay, mycelium, beeswax. Some were composted at the end
of the meal, others were melted down again, and finally, one was taken away as an object of memory.

Sweet clover bread. Smoked butter with mycelium. Oyster mushrooms.
Rapunzel and medium plantain.

Meadow

Hogweed soda and jelly from the stems

Pan-fried goosefoot and hogweed leaves
Fresh goat's cheese of the day, candied angelica and syrup

Rocks

Sweet clover ravioli. Angelica sylvestre & tomme cheese filling 
Broth: Wild angelica leaves, roasted hogweed fruit.

Fields

Nourish the field by placing your plate of mycelium-clay on the ground. It will compost over time and participate in the cycle of the place, its plants, the sheep that inhabit it and the living soil.
